After the Mobility Revolution:

Rethinking the Future of our American City

A mobility revolution is right around the corner. According to Robin Chase, founder of ZipCar, it could be either heaven or hell. While much attention has been given to autonomous cars and car sharing services, the possible consequences of the revolution for our cities have largely been ignored. What are the renewed possibilities for development, community, and human happiness and prosperity when automobiles no longer dictate the shape of our cities? How can we ensure that the future is more like heaven than hell?

Union Square, Somerville is undergoing rapid change and could become a laboratory for communities around the world.

The US Audi Urban Future Team has developed an interactive survey tool -- MyUSQ -- to better understand the use and enjoyment of the neighborhood. Join CNU New England, the US Audi Urban Future Team, and the Somerville community in revealing the results of this survey and exploring what the mobility revolution -- declining car ownership, improved transit, advanced transportation technologies, and shared space for multimodal mobility and community -- could mean for our American city.

#USQmobility

presented by the Congress for the New Urbanism, New England Chapter

sponsored by the Audi Urban Future Initiative and Robinson + Cole LLP
